Thank you for choosing Horses by Jose for your cruise ship excursion while in the port of Ensenada! Whether you are traveling on your cruise with the whole family, making it a romantic getaway, or just taking a quick weekend vacation with friends, we look forward to helping you make your day in Ensenada something you won’t forget!

We are about a 45 minute drive from the cruise ship port. The route takes you through breathtaking scenery, including passing the Valle de Guadalupe, Baja’s wine making region. We work with trusted and licensed taxis to bring you to us in the lovely coastal village of La Mision. Our taxi drivers are friendly, bilingual, and will take great care of you on your excursion from the port.

If you’d like, on your way back to the cruise ship the taxi can stop to take you to some of the best carne asada or fish tacos that the area has to offer. Or, if you’d rather stop for a scenic photo looking out over the port of Ensenada (and your ship!) just ask - they are happy to oblige. If shopping is your thing, there is plenty to be had in the downtown area as well.

Pickup:

The taxi will pick you up one hour before your ride. So, if you have an 9am ride it is an 8am pick up, an 11am ride it is a 10am pick up. 1pm ride is a 12pm pick up. (If you have a 9am ride and your ship gets in at 8am no worries - just try to be first off the ship. The taxi will be waiting for you!)

The taxi driver will have a sign with your name on it. It is a short walk to where he will meet you once you get off the ship. (See photos below)

Cost:

The taxi is $80 total round trip for up to 4 people. Each additional person is $10/person up to 7 people. The taxi fee is paid in cash directly to the driver upon your return to the port.
